Friday, October 5th, 2007Diamond engagement rings have a variety of stone setting options. Most commonly, center diamonds (or showcase diamonds) in an engagement ring are prong set. This means that the head of the engagement ring is made up of usually 4 or 6 individual prongs, tapering down toward one another where they merge at the base of the head. There are, however, some other interesting diamond setting styles that can be used for displaying an engagement ring’s center diamond.
